Your content is yours

You retain all rights to the audio you record, edit, and export with Sidebar. We claim no licence over your recordings, your finished episodes, or anything you publish.

Subscriptions

Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles billing, refunds, and currency conversion. You can cancel from your iOS subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Family Sharing is supported.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Sidebar to record people without their knowledge in jurisdictions that prohibit it, to produce content that breaches the App Store guidelines, or to harass, defame, or harm others. We don’t police what you record, but we do reserve the right to refuse service if abuse is reported.

Third-party services

Sidebar integrates with third-party AI voice and AI music services for date markers and music beds, and (rolling out) with podcast hosting platforms for one-tap publishing. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms; Sidebar passes requests through using your keys.

Liability

Sidebar is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it stable and fast, but to the extent permitted by law we’re not liable for lost recordings, missed releases, or indirect damages. Back up anything you can’t afford to lose.
